Devonlass15
So parents with children aren't allowed to shop either? What a miserable lot you are... BB100
If a child is screaming in Sainsbury's I just go up to them and ask them what the matter is. It guarantees perfect silence and usually a very brief chat with a parent relieved that someone is being sympathetic. Annette Curtain
I only took mine to the supermarket to scream, or feed them with free food.Or smack them. That's after getting pissed in the pub first.NETTE:-S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20285-never-mind-banning-babies-from-pubs/#findComment-495414 Share on other sites
RosieH
What's with this "miserable lot", "you lot" bollocks? Devonlass15 and karter, you must have teeny tiny living rooms if 1-3 people is considered a lot.Must be what having kids does to your social lives... KalamityKel
I take my tribe to the supermarket in the hope of losing them. womanofdulwich
Some parents' pain threshold for screaming toddlers is much higher than mine.If mine played up I just used to pick them up , leave my shopping and take them outside/ home/ to the play park and then come back later. I wish some parents would do the same and not tough it out. When it works the thanks come tumbling out from the distressed parent. When it doesn't, you get some very odd looks and a few people tapping in 999 on their phone. Not sure I'd advise it. Townleygreen
Salsaboy suggestedLets ban old people from supermarkets at the weekend. Not a bad idea! It would be quieter for them to shop during the day, in the week.It maybe that it hadn't occurred to them to change their habits of shopping on a Saturday?!Just a thought Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20285-never-mind-banning-babies-from-pubs/#findComment-495464 Share on other sites
