If you can't be bothered to click, there were over 1000 votes and the winner was Blue Shop Cottage / Alphabetics Anonymous.

Hi Sue

Over 1000 people participated in the vote to choose an artist, which was fantastic. Blue Shop Cottage/Alphabetics Anonymous were the winners and are on-site now!!! VERY exciting!

Lots of people stopping to talk to them. If you are free today or tomorrow, pop down and say hi to Jake, Hannah, Ocki and Nathan.

If you can't the mural will be finished Monday morning. We're very excited for ED to see the end result. We love it, and we hope you all do too.

Am honestly gutted at being tied up the whole weekend, really wanted to get some photos of the piece from start to finish : (

On the positive side, having seen the artists other work, I just know its going to be fantastic and something I'll enjoy seeing every time I pass the station, and yes, doing creative work in horrible weather is a real test on ones patience, so extra kudos to them for that!

So happy to see the area getting more street art : )

Hi Cat

We have those! So you can copy them once the piece is complete. Email is at [email protected], or check out the website next week.

The artists also have a friend creating a short film about the piece and documenting progress, so as soon as that is live, we'll let you know too.

The gang are back on it in this horrible weather and making awesome progress! Say HI if you are passing.

Special thanks to the two d*ckheads who pointlessly scrawled on the wall overnight. Which brings us to our next stage: We are about to crowdfund for the long term protection of the wall, which is over and above the budget for the creation of the mural. We want this to be a lovely asset to the area for a long time, and we will be asking ED residents to help protect it. The Forest Hill community raised over ?2500 in 72hrs for the creation and protection of their mural, which is awesome, and we hope you will all get behind your mural too. As soon as this is live, we'll let you all know.

Hi Kate

Thanks so much for your comment. We agree! The mural looks incredible. BSC&AA were working in the dark until 9.30pm last night to finish it, and we are so happy with the end result.

In terms of preparation, yes, it needs protected or it'll get damaged. Within the budget, we were able to put a sealant on it today to protect it short term against defacement, HOWEVER longer term, we are about to crowdfund to protect it long term with more anti-graffiti coating and also rain water protection. The water from the bridge will do some harm to it, so we are discussing guttering to redirect the water from the face of the wall. But the budget doesn't cover this, so we HOPE that now the community has seen the mural, they'll step up to help us protect it.

As soon as the crowdfunder is live, we'll be launching it here.

    • Thank you for the feedback! Helps to see we're not alone. The only good experience we had was Modern House. Anyone tried Strike/Purple Bricks/Yopa? How did it go? Anything to be mindful of?
    • Best experience we had was with Modern House. The rest of the agents around the area are appalling.... They just want their commission and not interested in getting a good deal. You'd be lucky if they pick up the phone...
    • I’d like to echo the positive comments about Trelco. I discovered that the stopcock on the rising main was leaking and was damaging the flooring in the utility room. Not having seen this thread, or any reviews for that matter,  I picked Trelco  as it was the nearest to me. It was a gamble but goodness it paid off. James was responsive and clear in what he offered. His colleague Andy replaced the offending stopcock and put in a lever valve to allow me to shut off the water easily when I go away. He did a great job, neat and tidy, he was cheerful, friendly and professional. All this within a day of contacting them. Although not an emergency it needed resolution quickly. The price charged was very reasonable indeed, especially considering the quality of the service. I am so pleased to have found such an excellent plumber.
    • Hi Kate I have 3 medium to large good quality cardboard  boxes for you if you want them and some green bubble wrap to go with them. I live SE15 3AY near Harris Girls school and in all day if you want to collect today or weekend OK too. WhatsApp me on 07538164536 Paddy
