Local place for a dance

I am planning a girls night out next Thursday and we may end up going for a dance later on. Can anyone recommend anywhere local/ localish to East Dulwich please - not The Vale!

Funky Munky in Camberwell is probably the closest place for dancing which is vaguely ok...

Jump on the 37 to Brixton and go to any number of places that aren't The Fridge.

There is indeed, and good food too!

There is also "Mass" which is the tower of the church, but not sure they're open Thursdays...

I plan to go there soon, because they are running nights where one room will be live rock bands and music, and another room will be dancey / RnB type stuff, sounds like good fun.

Same owner as the Red Star which is no more, maybe they cut their losses... Dogstar still open though, but that was the original.

I think previously this may have been filled by 'Kings on the Rye', before it became a den of gun-totting iniquity and later flats.

Yes, been to Infernos (my hen do) and I agree it was very cheesy. Dancing with people dressed up as bears etc -very strange. Not sure if they were the clubbers or the staff.

East Dulwich could defo do with somewhere to go and have a dance. Is the room still going behind Kebab and Wine? I've never been brave enough to go in there.

It's a shame as The Vale is a good size for it, and has the potential, but it's just so crap.
