Primrose Hill is a touch further to get to than Dawson's Heights though. I can walk out my door and have possibly the best panoramic view of London in 5 minutes. I wonder if the inhabitants of the estate there appreciate the good views?

On a depressing note, I remember a friend of my dad's who threw himself off the top of there. Not a nice way to go! I was only about 10-12 I guess, so late 80's / very early 90's.

Those paths are a nightmare!!!!! When you're getting of a train from London Bridge (can't remember the platform number), and coming down that path there are a few steps towards the bottom. I REALLY WISH THEY'D PAINT THE EDGES OF THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE A DEATH TRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :X

In these wonderful days of noone on the railways being responsible for anything as far as i can tell, the train companies bear always seem to sidestep responsibilty for the state of the stations, but at a pinch I think itlies somewhere between southern trains and network rail.

Having just had a look at their websites which should win some sort of obfuscation awards (DAFTAs?) I can offer use these nuggets

I've used it in the past and only received automated responses bearing no relation to my question, you have been warned.

What is it about wednesdays that make me acerbic?

acerbic (ə-s?r'bĭk) pronunciation also a?cerb (ə-s?rb')

adj.

1. Sour or bitter tasting; acid.

2. Sharp or biting, as in character or expression: ?At times, the playwright allows an acerbic tone to pierce through otherwise arid or flowery prose? (Alvin Klein).

[From Latin acerbus.]

just thought I put that there to save others having to look it up

An alien spacecraft in central London...

may be quite clearly discerned on broghter days when progressing along Underhill Road, with the cemetery on your right. Officially it is just the Telecom Tower perfectly aligned behind the London Eye but TPTB must think we born yesterday to swallow that one...

    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
