InnBrighton Ltd have recently bought the

CPT, here is there prospectus.

InnBrighton Ltd (IB) creates and operates

licensed premises which appeal to a section

of a community for whom creative

interaction is important to the enjoyment of

leisure time. IB fuses the basic pleasures of

consuming good food and drink,

experiencing good service and conviviality in

a comfortable and safe environment, with

higher pleasures invoked by arts and

humanities, to create third places that

inspire creative interaction and evoke non

conformity

This may sound good to some. For me, it is the end of a place that has been part of my life for better or worse.

RIP my beloved CPT, you will be missed.

Meet the new owners

Lots of marketing speak but seem to give landlords a free rein to do what they want, be community pubs and offer good beer. I can think of plenty of worse companies to run the place or it could be flats. Have a soft spot for the CPT but the beer has been awful for a few years.

I say good luck to them - anybody that takes on a down at heel, back-street pub in these challenging times deserves some support. I've been a regular for years and am amazed it's kept going when you can usually count the number of customers on one hand (two when it's busy). As long as you don't look too closely at the electrics, carpets, ceiling, decoration or bogs it's a great local pub and I look forward to seeing what they do with it.......shall stand a pint for all the cynics as well.....

If CPT was 10% as busy as the Slaughtered Lamb (I assume you mean the pub near Clerkenwell) then it'd be doing better business than it has in years since they tried to posh it up.

CPT used to be busy, most nights, but aspirations to switch it to a 'better' pub lost almost all it's custom. Shame.

Btw. Long time reader, first time poster, but ffs, I want to read reviews of take-aways that have been posted recently, not refered to posts that are a few years old. Can we please stop the anal, in the gang clique that moderate this place in their skyrim playing ways from stopping people starting new threads.

Eh? If the thread was started ages ago, you don't have to read the old posts, you can just read the new ones!

I think it's much more of a pain to have several different threads covering the same subject.

Rubish sue, a goole search always brings up the forum. It is never new, always bickering and never helpful. I just wish it was more than that, and I wish they didnt have to start 'I'm sure this has been discussed before but I couldn't find a post.....'. I think the in crowd that moderate are far to quick to shoot down and reviews should be new threads, google tells me when they were posted and I don't want to be wasting my time going through anything more than a month old.

I assume the John Irving fan was referring to the pub in "An American Werewolf in London", not Clerkenwell!

I've only ever had The Slaughtered Lamb experience in a tiny boozer in rural Norfolk (*shudder*).

Back on topic - I like the CPT as is. No third space needed...

Bit of an arguement, and a bunch of ra mr liu. I use google because I looking for reviews, and wouldnt want to rely solely on the forum, though they are otherwise limited! (mr liu was no good as they werent accepting cards).

I quite like the CPT but question whether it's a viable business as it currently stands. They need the facilities to prepare food. If they can get a food offering pitched at the right level then I think it could work well.
