Power cut @ 5hrs today

Was anyone else the victim of a power cut @ 5hrs today?

Looks like it was about 10 minutes - enough to set off a neighbour's burglar alarm which cannot have a proper back-up battery :-(

Oh, that must be why cooker clock was on zero this morning. Near Townley. Sounds quite widespread.

Ah - that could explain why all my touch sensitive lights came on sometime during the night. Odd effect though..

I figured there must've been one, but it was probably very brief for us (we're in Oakhurst). The microwave clock showed zero and the stereo was flashing this morning as it does when the power's been off, but it must've been very brief, as the cooker clock was still showing the right time, and that normally resets to 0:00 if the power is off for anything more than a few seconds.

we are just off oakhurst too and it must have been fletting as clock radio on one side of bed was flashing having been cut off yet the one on the other side of the bed was still showing time having not been cut off- bizarre!

I was up feeding my son when it happened and am on oakhurst, it was literally a non second but my sky tv hasn't worked properly since.. I seem to have lost sky plus..

Also on Ulverscroft Road, my clock radio was flashing this morning.

The other one was OK but I think it has a built-in battery to protect against power cuts, so Craigy maybe that is why one of yours was OK.

Both of our electric clocks were flashing away this morning and took ages to reset. Barry Road area.

I was woken in Landells Road at 5am by what sounded like an air-raid siren, a loud electrical buzzing sound outside that lasted about 20 seconds, I looked out and saw the street lights had gone out and we'd had a brief power cut. It was a bit weird.

Sorry, that may have been me (or any number of people nearby who have just found out their alarm battery is failing). I'm trying to find one of the correct size.

If you are in Nunhead (as the name suggests) it probably wasn't, unless I have a super loud alarm. although it took me less than 10 seconds to fly out of bed and enter the reset code to silence it.
