Been with 3 for about six or seven years and pretty faultless in my experience. I agree with Shell... no reason I can see for the (previously) poor image. I think people were just a bit sniffy about the cheaper new kid on the block.

Think 3 used to be a bit behind the others in terms of getting the latest phones but not any more.

i was with them on a dongle modem ?10.00 for 1gb of data, but computer was always getting attacked with trojons, i loged all the ip's of them and they all came from china, "the original owners of the network" also customer service told me to click a box in explorer to delete internet pages on exit, which will cause you to use more data again, the idea is to make the page load faster next time you visit.

it was actually leading to 30 pound a month, its ok for emails but when i skype to the usa amd spain it ate all my data.

im with a company and i pay 4.99 amonth for 10 gb through the landline.

but you could have it free if you pick up btzone on wifi, but you will have to know someone with bt broadband and share there pass key, if a few of you chiped in for the connection and share the cost you could get unlimited for a few pound a month each. and any ware you travel.

I'm with 3, very happy with reception and Internet speeds on 3G seem quicker. Much better than O2 which used to drop calls in my house all the time.

I also got ?110 cash back when I joined and got the new iPhone. All you can eat data is cool and also if you have an iPad you can tether it to the phone. This is also free but other providers charge for this. Double winning.

I use 3 for their mobile broadband at this end of LL. Until 2009, it was barely usable with only one bar of reception, since the agreement with Everything Everywhere (T-Mobile/Orange) to use their base stations the reception is so much better. I now get 4-5 bars on my dongle and get faster data speeds.

    • We are talking about Lambeth Council, not Southwark, but I agree. It will be interesting to see if Lambeth fill part of that space with another hire out to a private events company.  As to the idea that what is gained financially from hiring out Peckham Rye Park is a good trade off, does not account for long-term damage to the park and the loss of access to the community for a month at least, in the best summer months where trees and shrubs are in full bloom and animals are birthing or rearing youngsters. For the Council to claim they are 'green' when they allow this is hypocrisy at its finest.
    • Regarding Gala fees: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/assets/attach/280615/GALA-2024-and-one-stage-shows-stakeholder-consultation-findings-report.pdf‘ ‘’The decision to host large/major-scale commercial (ticketed) events in Southwark was taken in 2017, deemed necessary in order to raise enough revenue to offset the running costs of the Events service, which supports the delivery of 50+ outdoor community events per year, and in order to continue to fund a range of high quality, free events across Southwark through the Cultural Celebrations Fund grants programme.’’
    • Sorry, not having a dig at Southwark for that.   I'm just shocked that next door they've chosen to abandon such an institutional community / family event so they can keep pumping out commercial stuff instead.   I suppose the same could happen here next although we don't really have any longstanding family events like that one.
    • No doubt the schools in Harrogate are being discussed on the East Harrogate Forum or whatever. Dulwich College is being discussed because it's local. Saying "ooh, there were loads of schools mentioned" is a bit dismissive. It was Dulwich College that referred sex abuse allegations about pupils to the police and Dulwich College that used the spectre of the police to suppress dissent. 🤔
