Hi

I live on Peckham Rye, the SE15 side. it's lovely. Been here 25 years next year! Kitchen's nearly done, too.

People who talk sh1t about Peckham when just focussing on a small bit of it really pee me off.

It's like those idiots who have money but no imagination so aspire to having a personalised number plate.

Get a life.

Aas for those who wonder which area they live, if the street name has SE15 on it then you're in Peckham mate. Get over it or get counselling and get over it. Or just "be". If it says SE22 then it's East Dulwich.

The postcodes are alphabetical in the areas in which they relate and all Southwark Streets have name and postcode.

ie.

SE2 Abbey Wood

SE3 Blackheath

down to

SE14 New Cross

SE15 Peckham

SE16 Rotherhithe

and to

SE20 Anerley

SE21 Dulwich

SE22 East Dulwich

SE23 Forest Hill

I actually get a little thrill out of telling people how close I live to Peckham, watching them shudder then observing their confused reactions when they see how lovely East Dulwich is. Am I sad? (I am SE22 by the way, but wouldn't mind being SE15. As long as it was the nice bit!)

    • You can buy devices for fixed that spray water when a remote sensor is triggered.  Next door use successfully - we used to have but I was the one that mostly got wet and I now enjoy our foxes - agree we should protect our precious wildlife.
    • Fantastic news. We have a beautiful albino squirrel living in Crebor Street and I’m hoping that local cat owners could put bells ion their cat’s collars as Albus, yes I’ve named him, maybe be partially sighted or blind. He’s a very special wee fella and is loving life here and I hope as a community we can give him the best chance of survival and do all we can to keep him safe and well.    For Albus updates, you can check out my account on Instagram…@TravelswithTiaTina x
    • Will we notice any difference compared to now ? In the dim days before electricity light our street lights, the idea of two classes of mail meant that 1st class was delivered in the morning and 2nd class later in the day (yes two postal rounds per day)  But now, with modern technology and other "efficiency" changes we get one or less rounds a day and 2nd class is now within 3 days. Somehow I feel the death throes of a ine great postal service
