Good place to get carpets?

We have torn/stained (bad cat...) carpets upstairs and really need to replace all of them. As we were in Bluewater yesterday we got a quote at John Lewis. Ouch. I do love good ole' JL, their service even includes moving all the furniture, but unless the lottery comes up, we're stuck.

Many moons ago we had our kitchen and bathroom floors done by the carpet place on Lordship lane, but weren't cheap, and work not great... Any other recommendations? Thank you!

Have bought new carpets from Lordship Lane Carpets. Yes, not cheap, but we thought the service and quality absolutely excellent. And happy not to use a carpet shop chain.

E J Carpets at Perry Vale Forest Hill. Cannot fault them. From the measuring up to the selecting and taking home of multiple samples to the fitting they were brilliant. I was also pleasantly surprised at the price!

I can highly recommend Lordship Lane Carpets. They recently laid engineered flooring throughout my flat, and Steve (who may also lay carpet, I'm not sure) did an excellent job. An absolute perfectionist. Ian and Derek in the office were also very good.

Find your carpet and give Nick Easter a call - he deosnt have a store, but can source most carpets and will prob be 20% cheaper than JL/LL carpets.

I dont have his no handy, but search and you will find as he has had great reviews on here

We have used LL carpets for many, many years in two houses and they have always been excellent and done a really good, speedy and quality job. I would recommend.
