The local councillor Alex Feakes, just today posted that Pizza Express had an appeal turned down regarding them using the Old Bank site http://goo.gl/4ZYz5

So it is a site of interest, but not sure where the Waitrose talk is coming from...other than the usual ED Waitrose fetishism ;-)

EDIT: I clearly can't read - it's Dominoes Pizza, not Pizza Express.

You know if you really have the time then you can actually visit the forum on the Waitrose website and ask them about their plans to open new stores in particular areas. If you scroll down then you can see the Waitrose Sales and Support team responding to peoples suggestions. Does anyone remember that programme 'worst jobs in histroy?'. Its got to be up there

Actually it would be kind of cool to see some of our more aspirational ED brethren/sistren combust in a green haze of envy! I vote for waitrose in Honor Oak Park!

Response from Waitrose to enquiry as to whether it is opening in Honor Oak, East Dulwich, Penge, Sydenham etc:

"Waitrose are looking to expand, however, due to the sensitive nature of any developments, we are unable to disclose any information regarding further locations at this present time.

You may like to visit our online forum at the link below as this is where all the latest information regarding new branch locations can be found as and when they are announced:

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
