Noise Pollution - Barry road

Does anyone know who the annoying neighbours are who are playing their music on full volume with their doors open at 3am this morning? They live on Barry Road.

I tried ringing the Noise pollution department, but they knock off at 1.30am. (Government cuts.)

Looks like this could be a long night, my earplugs aren't working :(

Cannot believe the Tories have made the noise pollution line close at 1:30am. What's the point of that?

The Southwark Noise team is a local council service.

The Labour led Southwark council cut the service with effect April 2011. They would say it was a hard choice to cut this service but necessary due to central government funding cuts.

Others would say they could have made other choices and central government cuts are result of the past Labour govt getting the country into such a pickle.

Whatever the reason pretty grim for you Cityjules. Hope it didn't last long.

Although the noise team knock off at 1.30, in reality, they stop dealing with complaints much earlier (becuase of the time it takes them to get to the location and actually deal with the issue). Effectively, they don't deal with noise issues during the night (which is surely the only time most people need them).

Let's hope that the thoughtless don't catch on too quickly to the fact that they can make as much noise as they like post midnight, without any hassle.

It was towards the Upland Road end of Barry Road. Their house backs on to mine, so couldn't tell you where exactly.

It was probably around 3.30 it finally stopped, so completely knackered today.

Hope their little bender was a one off!

I am not surprised that noise control hasnt been called to come around to my house on Barry Road tonite around 10.15pm , after I was shouting the mighty Chelsea to the win!!!!
