If tillie comes then we will have the four. it seems like we can only book one court at a time at the moment, Badminton's got very popular all of a sudden. If anybody know of anywhere else in East Dulwich or close that we could try and use in the future, suggestions greatly accepted!

LOL, you deserved that one PGC! ;-)

Badminton does indeed seem to be very popular, Mrs Keef and I have been trying to get a game up in Sydenham, and it's been fully booked the last 2 weeks. I'm gutted as was getting really in to it, and don't want to let it slip. Count us in next week if you can get the courts...

Enjoy this evening. Do you have a spare racket for TT?

Badminton site with court diagrams and rules

Have had a good read of this site, as wouldn't mind playing a structured game sometime, sounds simple enough. Only the serving player/team can win a point, if the other team win a rally, they then win the "right to serve", and you keep serving until the other player/team wins the right back. In that sense the scoring is more like squash.

The far back line is the same for singles and doubles, but the side line is the wider one in doubles.

Not saying I want to get all competetive, but I think having a game would make me run around a bit more and get more out of it. Anyone else interested? Happy to carry on as we are if not.

    • Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.
    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? 'To contact Southern Housing's CEO, Paul Hackett, you can try his direct email, [email protected], or use the general contact email [email protected], as well as calling their main number, 0300 303 1066, for general inquiries or to be directed to the executive level.' Also, from the website: https://www.southernhousing.org.uk/latest-news/2025/contacting-us-over-the-festive-period   'Contacting us about an emergency? If you have an emergency outside of the above times over the festive period, such as severe flooding, an uncontainable leak, gas leak, complete electrical failure or lift breakdown, please call us on 0300 303 1066' I hope it is sorted out soon.
