Not to put to fine a point on it, say I'm the only bee in your bonnet make a little birdhouse in my soul.

The canary in the attic by the light switch, WHO WATCHES OVER YOU, make a little birhouse in your soul.

No you're not Anna, and if huguenot sees this, he'll be smiling too!

Hmmm...I don't remember saying hello either. My first post was this joke:-

This little lad is peddling down the street on his bike in Belfast when he gets hit by a car doing about 60 miles an hour.

An old woman rushes over to him and sees that he's really badly injured.

"An ambulance is on its way my son," she says. "Do you want me to call for a Priest?"

"No thanks Ma'am," says the little boy. "Sex is the last thing on my mind right now!"

my first post was a gripe against bad manners and I never introduced myself, profuse apologies to one and all!

Was a silent observer for a while until the urge overtook my self control, and I'd wake in the wee ( well doesnt everyone of a certain age?) small hours with the register icon flashing in my mind , I fought hard, but eventually gave in to the compulsion which is now the EDF ...

    • This is where I sit too. A two day event is bearable. Three tests my tolerance. Finding the right balance on size, noise and impact is where I contribute to the consultation process. BUT, as I wrote elsewhere, every year the GALA organisers ask/ push for more, and deals have already been done with the council before it gets to public consultation stage. It is also worth pointing out that when a licence was first granted, the orgnaisation was different (We Are the Fair), one of the company directors lived literally next to the park (she left when it became GALA) and the current form bears no resemblance to original ethos/ vision sold to the council and licensing committee. This needs to be pointed out and I am fairly confident local councillors would also support a pushback on any further expansion. We have local elections next year, so councillors ears will be open.
    • Niko was really great. He fixed my blocked shower very quickly, was great at communicating and a lovely guy to talk to. And he doesn't charge the earth!
    • Not really sure why SE22 is getting upset about Brockwell Park.  I expect more people around here attend the festivals than are inconvenienced by it.  But it supports my view that many like to complain even when not directly affected. Football grounds move.  Attendances change.  Demographic too,not old blokes in flat caps or boys in short trousers with rattles.  Arsenal attendances at the Emirates are over twice what they were in the late 80s at Highbury.  Much more disruption in N1 nowadays.  DHFC tripples what they were 15 years ago, but good news is much quieter than the past.
    • The School doesn't have any supplementary forms as of admissions from September 2025. So anyone can go now, it's a nice school!
