black cab drivers definitely the worst due to their 'anything goes' kind of attitude, esp in central London-trying to navigate a bus in central london is ridiculously hard given the way black cab drivers just feel they can stop anywhere to drop people off and they pull out completely out of the blue.

After that I'd say (some) cyclists are pretty awful. many are just too slow- it's all very well choosing to cycle but many just aren't up to the job of driving on roads in London and inadvertently hold up full buses of people because they just can't keep up to speed level.

Do you drive a bike? No. We're talking about four wheeled vehicles.

And as a cyclist I'd say the worst (so most dangerous) are in order:

Local authority bulky rubbish vans

Addisson Lee/people carrier minicab types

Delivery vans other than Royal Mail vans

Royal Mail vans

Lexus drivers

Ruskin Private Hire

Motorcycle couriers

Clarkes coaches

Skip lorries (AKA cycle killers)

Black Cabs

Old Volvos with one front light

Hipster driven scooters

Modern Mercedes Benzs

Builder vans pre-8am before hangover has softened

Demented costermongers leaving East St Market of an evening.

Just stand on Charing Cross Road and count how many cars go through red lights and compare with how many cylists go through red lights in 30 minutes.

Yesterday all the cars and pedestrians parted to allow an ambulance through a red light followed by ... you guessed it a Mad Cyclist someone took a swing at him but he missed.

    • Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain. • A slightly vulnerable but hopeful post… Hi everyone, I’m a guy in my mid-thirties who’s recently moved back to London and East Dulwich (I previously lived here for many years before, so I know the area well). But if I’m honest, I’ve found the return a little tough. Most of my close friends have moved out of London to start families — totally understandable — but it’s left me feeling a bit adrift and not quite sure how to make new connections again. Work has taken up a huge chunk of my life in recent years, and I’ve definitely let hobbies, interests and a proper social life fall by the wayside. I feel like I went from a fun social life in my 20’s to suddenly blinking and realising things had gone a bit er…quiet. So, I’m trying to redress the balance a bit — mainly so myself and my partner don’t murder each other 😂, and just to meet some new local faces. I was wondering: is anyone else in a similar boat? And would there be any interest in starting a relaxed, low-key local social group? Could be a casual pub meet, sports, park hangouts, live comedy nights — open to ideas!  I’m happy to do the organising/admin side of things — just wanted to put it out there and see if there’s any appetite. I’ll gauge interest and take it from there.  If you’d prefer not to reply publicly, feel free to drop me a DM.  Cheers all! 👋
    • It's Inner London. You could move somewhere else?
