xavi
I've got an early flight (6am) from Gatwick next week and was wondering if anyone had any inspired ways of getting there at that time, and if not and taxi is the only option, which is the cheapest company to use? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24247-early-flight-from-gatwick/ Share on other sites
Applespider
If it's just you, then seriously think about staying there the night before. It makes the next morning far less stressful since you only have to worry about the alarm not going off rather than also worrying that your cab etc won't show up. The Yotel down there charges by the hour so you can always book it from 11.30 til 4.30, get a late train down there, get some sleep and then walk to your flight. Since it's in the South Terminal, there's no stress then about being there for your flight. It usually ends up costing me about ?50 when I do it. Michael Palaeologus
Yotel option looks good.I have before now, got up at 3.30am. Got a Taxi to Victoria and then got the Gatwick Express. Taxi is about ?20. Gatwick Express period return is now about ?33. So, ?53 in total. efhd27
Airport Direct Services - ?42 to Gatwick from East Dulwich. We've used them a couple of times and they're great: nice cars, lovely drivers and they've always been on time. uptowngirl
I'd say stay in a hotel. Did you also know that if your flight is before 8.30am you can check in and drop off your luggsge the night before the flight? We do this all the time, it means in the morning you just breeze through security with your hand luggage and can have an extra hour's sleep. (check with the airline though - we have always done this with Easyjet, so I imagine others offer this service too) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24247-early-flight-from-gatwick/#findComment-556798 Share on other sites
