I had to go into work early last Saturday after a night on the tiles and very little sleep and I was two hours late. I can't take the risk of doing that again because I'll be in serious trouble. The temptation to stay out late and party all night is too tempting and I really have been overdoing it lately and need to calm down. I may have to consider staying in. Perish the thought.

Jah,

I've got a cyst in me eye (better than a poke in the eye). We can compare ointments! (now theres an offer you don't hear often).

But if you really can't then we shall have to wait til March.

Actually - you're not in hiding all day tomorrow are you? It being the 29th Feb and all...

I haven't got any ointment and I may take you up on your offer Bellenden Belle. My right eye is streaming and very sore and a swelling has now formed underneath. I'm working until 8pm so if I do go I'll be there around nine. I might try and stay for an hour or so but that's most unlike me. I need an ASBO to be put on my hedonism.

I think I might come and lurk in honour of all the Lurkers on here...

Am I the small weasly bloke leering at all the girls?

Am I the once obviuosly gorgeous blonde but now a bit muttony who keeps trying to scroiunge fags off all the under 30 blokes?

Am I the average looking quiet middle class bloke whose very, very polite?

Answers on saturday please

Booo!!!

Unfortunately I found out I am working earlier tomorrow than planned, so I shall have to watch myself tonight. However, I shall be there, and I imagine Fear N' Boozin, who is now basically a lurker, will be there... And Kel, we're both under 30!!! Just :-S

    • Look, I can see you feel very strongly about it, but there’s a whole load of people for whom it does not bother one bit.
    • Thanks to everyone who replied in this thread. Genuinely helpful information, observations and thoughts... and helps restore my broader faith in humnanity! Also, my bank just told me someone called them saying they had found my card on Crystal Palace Road. Thank you people of East Dulwich ❤️.
    • still on the look out for your unused / unloved cd collections around all weekend best Tim
    • But that's the point isn't it Mal, if you go to Glastonbury you are with a hundred thousand other people in the wilds of the country and you cannot complain about noise disruption - you can be selective about where you camp of course.  The Glasto organisers and local council go out of their way to keep the locals onside - friends of mine used to live in a village some miles from Worthy Farm and would be offered free tickets. But there are a lot of people in Dulwich and Herne Hill and Brixton who have huge amounts of disruption thrust upon them because this is, after all, a densely populated urban area and not deepest Somerset.  Councils want to monetise our public spaces as much as they can but this is often in conflict with the needs and wants of their constituents who live nearby. What is happening in Brockwell is a warning as Southwark will want to try and monetise Peckham Rye to the same extent if they can.
