We stayed here last year. Could, just, see the Sea of Marmora from our room and easily from the rooftop restaurant. Easy to walk to all the obvious site - Blue Mosque, Agia Sophia, the Souk, etc.

Eresin is also booked up for the weekend we want unfortunately. Really want to stay in Sultanahmet and wanted to stay somewhere reasonably small with an "old" feel to it - Rast hotel looks a bit hotely if you see what I mean, although the location and views look great- but maybe I shouldn't be picky as everywhere else seems to be booked! Thanks for the recommendations.

Mmmm - a lovely looking hotel and a fantastic location, but hardly in the small and authentic style - AND expensive.
