A thread for genuinely helpful tips, not the Viz ones. BEHAVE NETTIE.

Going on a flight with your other half or a friend, if you're choosing your seats online then one of you choose the ailse seat and the other the window. Unless the flights full then a seat between two strangers is far less likely to be taken, so you usualy get an empty seat in your row. If it is taken most people will willingly swap for an aisle or window seat so you still get to sit together.

Keep 'em coming.

Stop working for monolithic faceless corporations aimed at making institutional shareholders rich and actually start a business of your own. Hard work yes, but it buys you priceless freedom and time if it works out. Choose when and how long to take holidays/lie in and you'll never get that Monday morning feeling again.

And don't wank with headphones on when the missus is out or you may surprise your Polish electrician.

If you know you are about to experience projectile vomiting (and you do, always, know) don't attempt to block it with your hand.

You will only succeed in spattering people/objects/vistas to your left and right (*see "dangers of thumbing your own hose") as well as risking temporary blindness, upchuck-immolation and possible choking.

Let it fly and look your victim square in the eye as you do. It's only fair.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
