We had a bloke turn up today saying he was from the Telegraph and that they were doing an article on houses turning front gardens into driveways as the council was wanting to stop this practice. He wanted to take a picture from the upstairs bedroom window of our front. My wife declined the request. Sounds dodgy (even if he did have a camera with him) as he could just as easily take a picture from ground level. Anyone else had someone saying they are from the Telegraph.
Well East Dulwich has featured in the Telegraph twice in the last few months. Clearly there's a Telegraph writer moved to the area and mining her own backyard so this could be genuine. Sounds like the sort of story the Telegraph would go for in one of their daft supplements

Funny how we say Kosher. I wonder if Rowan is right if in 10 years time we'll be saying 'halal' Telegraph journo?

Back on thread you'd expect s/he to carry an NUJ card. If they didn't flash that first or when asked I'd be a bit suspicious.

10 years ago ED wouldn't feature in the Telegraph unless there was a feature on Sauf London villains in the colour supplement.

    • The young ones can bite car tyres around this time of year - I assume they do it for the thrill of the hiss or something like that.  We had a spate of damaged tyres and thought it was a disturbed person or at a stretch an environmental protestor taking it too far, but caught a fox on a house camera.
    • Although this sounds worrying, a "bitey" fox is unusual. I see foxes all the time where I live near Rye Lane and have never experienced this. I've even seen a fox sitting in the garden where an outdoor cat lives, whilst the cat was there - the cat was fine and is still alive. I think my flat is on a fox path because I hear and see them most nights, none of the local cats seem bothered by them. I can't help but wonder what would make the fox act in such a way, I've just read that toxoplasmosis might make them more aggressive
    • Purse with cash and cards (including photo card) found in road local to East Dulwich Tabernacle. It will be here (107 Barry Road) all day (Sunday 21 December) if you want to collect or PM me.  In case some one else who knows R Howard, please alert her.    Thank you
    • Thanks Sue.  No the car just drove on.  We don't know if they noticed.  We were driving behind.  We were just glad we could be with the cat, and take him to the vet, rather than leaving him there 😞
