You are joking - of course! The Society won't take any notice of you, the only people it takes notice of are the people on their little cosy committees. Not including some committees by the way, just the ones with certain people meddling and so I doubt the planning lot or the grand committee will take any notice. Sorry bro.

That's fine. Kinda expected but these guys can throw weight around council's decision on planning permission, so better to get to know them even at a distance. We'd rather not passively let this thing slide so any channel that is relevant to our survival, we're interested (though they might not be!). But thanks for the heads up bruv. It'll be a less of disappointment if your saying is turned out to be true.

Sadly many members and ex members have tried to get the council and the Estate to see sense but the Society has no sway with either in reality, it is always about money. It is a valuable site and they are chugging up its value with every day that passes.

It's been cool to watch it grow organically from a few improvised obstacles into a park with proper concrete ramps, etc. I think inevitably Dulwich Estate will cash in on the land eventually, but it makes perfect sense that you guys should make constructive use of it for as long as possible.

No chance (unfortunately). Adverse possession is very difficult - and you need 10 years possession to begin with. These days, you might get a couple of feet of garden off your neighbour where the fence was built in the wrong place, but getting something like the Harvester car park just won't happen.

Adverse possession was a common law check on landowners leaving land sitting doing around nothing when others could make better use of it. Now it's toothless. Land isn't like other forms of wealth that can be stacked or saved infinitely - there is only a limited amount of it. It's an outrage that the building and land is left to rot as an eyesore, and that thousands of homes in London are left empty by people who have no intention of having anyone live in them...
