Now this is a good idea *BOB*. What songs could we request from him and his combo?

Queen's 'Liar' is obvious. Eagles 'Lying Eyes' (the punishment would be in having to perform it as much as anything),

Boz Scaggs 'Lido Shuffle' (pronounced the UK way). At the end of the performance present him with a lyre.

For an encore suggest Mott The Hoople's 'All The Way To Memphis'. I know it's not a song about lies but I don't half like it.

I imagine he'd start his set with Shaggy's seminal It wasn't Me, followed by Trust Me by Elton John and if the outcry persists, Shaddap You Face by Joe Dolce.

Strictly speaking, Anthony wasn't lying though. He did 'go to the Plough' and there was indeed a band called The Nites playing there. Perhaps he has short term memory loss and can remember going to the pub but not why he was going or what he did there. Like in 'Memento' - only in The Plough and with less killing?

I bet if you roll his sleeve up there'll be a tattoo there saying "go to Plough - play aaaaaawesome set"

I have had some pretty bad food in there (a pie on a Sunday lunch time brings back particularly bad memories) but I've also had some good food too. Last 2 times I've been have both been solid

It's an M&B pub so the food is centrally sourced and controlled so I'm never going to get a steak (for example) to compare with Franklins but it can be fine

Good spot JL, I'd like to hear The Nites cover it.

YOU'RREE IN SAASPPIISHIIAAUUN YU'RE A LIIIAAR

I'd go as far as The Plough for that.

I'm sorry about the misunderstanding Dez.

In my defence I was a little confused at the time but I'm much better now.

If it makes you feel any better I'm prepared to let bygones be bygones about the assault on my imaginary brother.

Faults on both sides, six of one half a dozen of the other and all that.

Both the pub and I have improved immeasurably since.

I laugh quite loud when I pass one neighbour with plastic grass, not only is it dead to nature it is not even laid well,   I should be crying.
    • Andy did a number of jobs for me and was very reasonably priced. He's very helpful, arrives on time, pays attention to detail and a nice man. I'll be using him again and recommending him to my friends.
    • A Y13 student of Art at The Charter School North Dulwich left their A3 art portfolio on the 37 bus after school on Friday 13 February - travelling from North Dulwich to East Dulwich.  TFL and the bus garage have been contacted but do not have it.  It is a large A3 transparent bag with a black art folder inside.  The student's name is inside the portfolio and the bag is stamped with the school name.  If anyone happens to have picked up the portfolio or has any leads please do contact [email protected]  We are really keen to get our student's work back safely!
    • It is sectarianism, which is a really strange stance for the Green party (as is traditionally understood) to take. I don't understand it at all - and this is evident in their UK and O/seas policies
