I've not heard the DM and Sparklehorse release yet but with a title like that, you know it must be good.Me, I've just listened to Ash, "Free All Angels" very very LOUD. Joe Shmoe
Yes yes felt-tip. I feel it's not as good as Immers 1&2, but it's pretty fine all the same.I'm listening to Matthew Dear's new one 'Black City' on Spotify. Techno/pop crossover (that sounds awful eh?). So far it's a bit patchy, but still has some dazzling moments. titch juicy
sorry to get all comprehensive, but just yesterday, elsewhere in the ether we were having an early 2010 retrospective, so a C&P is easier. kpc
Would add Tame Impala to the upper quartile of your list - and Tokyo Police Club should make the good section.Seems a bit harsh on Best Coast - is this not just a reaction to the not inconsiderable hype? And Band of Horses is definitely a let down compared to previous.Sleigh Bells I like (insert your own joke about early for Christmas) - sounds like something that shouldn't work but does. Jah Lush
The sound of a female colleague who doesn't stop rabbiting all day long in the most irritatingly loud high-pitched voice you can think of. Imagine working next to Bianca Jackson out of Eastenders and multiple by ten. She needs an ASBO on her gob. felt-tip
Joe Schmoe - I dont have 1 or 2 so I dont know but the tracklisting for 3 really caught my eye - especially Culoe de Song and Gainsbourg.I'm currently listening to CD1 of Joris Voorn - Balance. Joe Shmoe
Titch/KPC - That's a fine list of records. I'd throw Perfume Genius, Harvey Milk, Flying Lotus, John Grant, Surfer Blood and Hot Chip in the mix there too. The whole 60's surf pop sound is very in at the moment, and it seems to me like they're just riding the crest of the wave (excellent pun very much intended) without offering much new (i know, why change a winning formula?). For me Wavves second album does it a lot better though.
