tfwsoll
The florist, Sally's of Dulwich, has moved out and I have heard that it's going to be an ice cream parlour. Does anyone have any details? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27544-sallys-of-dulwich-closed/ Share on other sites

PSJ
Don't think it is a B&Js. Possibly Haagen Dazs. Sally mentioned to me that the ice cream company had a branch in Hampstead. Might be a Marine Ices or Oddono. Can't see it working there though... reetpetite
Why would they move up to the Plough end of LL when there is a florist already there! grecian girl
If it's an ice cream parlour in NW3 then its poss Gelato Mio -one near my studios in Belsize Park has a wooden swing outside! lane lover
Its not unusual for similar businesses to lie close to one another. The average consumer doesn?t know exactly what they want: they want to buy flowers and clusters generally gravitate customers towards the area as they know they have options when they get there. It benefits all parties and should also improve the level of service (and price, quality etc). Think Hatton Gardens for diamonds, as well as electronics stores and fast food chains (McDonalds often near KFC).Another bizarre comment that ice-cream wont work in ED. If I am not mistaken, ED has alot of young families with kids ... so if it were to work in other parts of London, I find it hard to understand why it wont work here. I know its a crappy day today, but in warmer months it should be a big hit! I love ice-cream! LondonMix
Thanks, interesting. DavidH Scoop (on Melbourne Grove) came on the forum a while back and said they had to close for a short while. They want to reopen but they might need to find new premises if I remember correctly.PSJ Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Don't think it is a B&Js. LondonMix
Not at all. See the thread below where they explained what was going on. They had to close for 6 months as the freeholder wanted to renovate the space above the shop at the end of their lease. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,952619,page=1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27544-sallys-of-dulwich-closed/#findComment-605048 Share on other sites
