I just replied to one of your posts. It is not factual, it contains completely incorrect information.

I think it should be removed.

listed as what it contains, surely it should say how it is made instead, either way, some people may object to taking something made in this way.

What COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca contains

One dose (0.5 ml) contains: COVID 19 Vaccine (ChAdOx1-S* recombinant) 5 ? 10^10 viral particles

The Good Law group has just won a court judgment on contracts during the COVID crisis - not directly related but related to secrecy.

There's been a lot of secrecy from this government mainly to the benefit of it's friends - this helps the Covid Deniers make claims of conspiracy.

Did you know the Phizer Vaccine has not been approved by the FDA. It has only been authorised for emergency use.

Why is that a concern? The drug still has to go through full clinical trials and prove efficacy. It's just a mechanism for them to speed up the rollout in times of emergency.

What is your agenda here, vegancow? Vaccine fear-mongering? Downplaying the death toll? What next?

Exactly fishbiscuits. Both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines in the UK are under a temporary licence from MHRA as an emergency measure to get them into circulation, so not sure why vegancow focuses on the US when the UK has similar measures. From the BMJ:

Why was the vaccine given temporary authorisation?

Usually, the UK would wait for the European Medicines Agency to approve a vaccine before looking to distribute it, but in an emergency EU countries are allowed to use their own regulator to issue temporary authorisation. In October the government made changes to the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 to allow the MHRA to grant temporary authorisation of a covid-19 vaccine without needing to wait for the EMA.2

A temporary use authorisation is valid for one year only and requires the pharmaceutical companies to complete specific obligations, such as ongoing or new studies, says the law firm Brodies.3 Once comprehensive data on the product have been obtained, standard marketing authorisation can be granted. This initially lasts five years but can be renewed and is not subject to specific obligations.

No Agenda, it's a discussion. The Vaccine is new and we do not have the luxury of time to see the long term effects so I read as much as I can as I care about what is injected into me. I steer clear of any conspiracy sites and read mainly FDA and UK Gov website to get to facts, If you want to put total trust in the pharmaceutical industry more fool you, you do know they have made mistakes before. If they were so sure it would not still be unapproved.

I'd rather get the jab and take the "apparent" risk rather than catch the potentially fatal virus.

If you've had the misfortune to be put into an induced coma and had to be ventilated or seen someone in an induced coma or someone on a Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV)/(Nippy) which is a fully fitted and sealed face mask that pumps oxygen into you to push carbon dioxide out of your lungs, I promise you, you'd take the vaccine in a jot.

Good for you, thankfully it's still a choice if you want to be injected with an experimental mRNA drug. I've only had the flu vaccine once in my long life which is also potentially fatal and am still here.

My strategy is to wait at least a year but unfortunately, it seems that people's free choice will soon be taken away by Coerced Consent anyway.

You say you have no agenda. But I'm afraid that your scare-mongering loaded language suggests otherwise.

But well done for surviving your flu jab, glad you managed to pull through that potentially fatal ordeal.

Come spring time, it WILL be a year since the first humans were given the Pfizer vaccine, by the way.

What I was saying in response to jazzer is that the Flu is also potentially fatal and I don't take the vaccine each year for it and I'm just fine, so will take my chances with not taking this one if that's ok with you.

Yes, you are right, we are all in this but they are not yet sure the Vaccine stops transmission as it only reduces symptoms. I am not alone in being cautious in deciding if I want to inject a new drug, there is a whole new Ad Campaign to encourage BAME people. I do wear a mask, wash my hands regularly and keep my distance when possible.

I think the idiots are the people who believe what they are fed on the TV without doing some checks for themselves, I bet you think that Phizer and others care for us :)

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and free speech.

But calling people idiots I don't think is a cool thing to do.

Yes, people have the choice to be vaccinated. Personally I'd rather take the vaccine then be on a ventilator. As I told you before once you've been on one or seen someone on one it'll change your mind, forever.

The Govt's first duty is to protect its citizens, that's what they are doing, 17+M and counting day by day, have had the vaccine. I don't hear of any deaths that have resulted from having the vaccine. You'll likely tell me its a conspiracy that the media are to blame for not reporting no deaths from having the vaccine.

It's estimated that by May everyone will have been offered the vaccine.

As someone else has said above "It isn?t just about you though. You may catch COVID with mild symptoms or even none at all. But you would still be infectious and perhaps pass it on to others who are more vulnerable."

By all means do all the research you want, but please don't put others lives at risk because you don't trust the vaccine science.

Man alive

Uplandrrd2020 thinks a global pandemic with rampant transmission and mortality is something being ?fed to us by tv? and we should do checks for ourselves

?Hey sephiroth, this is all made up yknow!?

So people I know who have died, or people in my family who are sick are just... made up?

And where would I go to check this ?misinformation? out for myself ?

Maybe if you posted links to this information, you would be... laughed out of town?

Look let?s face it - the deadly global pandemic just happened to coincide with the Govts intention to control us by making us taking a vaccine which is possibly dangerous for us, probably has a microchip in it.

Because under-education and taxation aren?t enough control

And because even though we can be tracked already through our mobile phones, it just makes absolute sense to chip everyone (well, apart from the clever people who know it?s all a big con - a big, global con) or poison them with an untested vaccine.

Now all you doubters will hopefully see the sense in this.

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure.
