A friend?? On Underhill Road??

Please tell us you were taking a food parcel and some old clothes to the mother of your gardener.

Cannabis farms don't get heated at night. The light/dark timing to fool the plants into a state where they produce flowers constantly is not related to the 24 hour clock. So at any time of the day they can be on or off. And if the police decided to use helicopters to search for cannabis farms using heat detection they would have a challenge on their hands. If you hover over London looking at houses that produce heat out of their lofts you will see thousands of houses. The idea that the police could (or even should) get a warrant to break down the front door of a house just because it has a warm roof is just ridiculous. And what about the problem of cannabis farms that happen to be in the basement? The police would have to rethink their whole strategy.

Most farms are run by teh Viets nowadays and they work on a 5:1 basis a, budgeting for one bust for every 5 operations - they lose a grands or twos worth of HP equipment and some illegal imigrant lackey gets arrested/ jailed / deported , but it a very lucrative business and very hard to stop

Oddly, most of the busts are on information received from other "farmers", looking to trim their competitors harvest - its not often the Polis helicopter detects them.

    • In case anyone is renovating or stripping out an old kitchen, I am looking for a base kitchen unit or carcass to house an oven for a temporary set up kitchen.   Also looking for a run of worktop at least 180 cm long if anyone is disposing of something like this, I would be happy to collect.   thanks   Mila
    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
