My ex-boyfriend was jailed and kicked out of the RAF for drugs, leaving me to decide how to tell my parents that they wouldn't be seeing him for a while. But they heard about it on their local news so I didn't have to tell them after all....they were not best pleased.

I myself am a paragon of virtue of course....

I went to a H&S meeting where the H&S officer told us of the person who put tipex in their boss's tea - the boss drank it and DIED. I laughed and was thrown out of the H&S meeting (result!!)

Never found out if it was true though - perhaps Lizzy can now confess.......

In my youth and sadly for a few years after that, I'd sleep with just about anybody who was up for it.

I once made my English teacher fall on the floor at assembly, by putting one of the chair legs over a hole in the floorboards.

After one bender, I ended up in crack house in South Africa.

I left my Christmas presents for my parents in a coat check and was so out of it, I left them there. I had to give them second hands gifts I found in my flat.

My brother and I hand cuffed my sisters new boyfriend with his own cuffs (a railway policeman) and ran out of the house and threw the key into the cat box as we ran past into the streets to hide. We were rounded up sometime later by my mother who was spitting feathers, and my sister vowed and swore she would never have kids.

Cassius she had two children now adults, so no we did not put her off for life inspite of our best attempts.

My sister is twelve years my senior so she had to play 'mum' to my brother and I, and she hated this chore as my brother was the most difficult, and older by 2 years so he engineered the hand-cuffing, the key in the cat box, and the escape. I of course was an ardent follower but generally considered to be less of a trial but by no means perfect.

would think this is rather more a boast than a confession...? although if the lady herself is on the site, perhaps she should be confessing (or in prison???)

    • Until the licencing laws changed in the late eighties, pubs were only allowed to open Sunday hours on Christmas Day, so 12 'til 2, and the majority didn't open in the evening unless it was for a 'private party'. But that's another story. The landlord of my old local used to let everyone double or treble up at last orders so that you could avoid having to watch the Queen's Speech with your Nans at three o'clock. Dulwich Tandoori is open Christmas Day for those who don't fancy Gail's.  'Festive Flavours', apparently.
    • My nominations are the Goblin Band at the Goose, and the Errol Linton Trio  at the Dulwich Folk Club.  I'm not sure what other venues we have in the immediate area.  I rarely do the big (1000 plus) places any more.  Your nominations? And a special mention to Truthpaste, at least one member is local and their video was recorded around here.  But I caught them in North London.  And please see the link to the BBCs recording of the Copper Family at the Castle a few weeks ago~: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002ng53
