Same here - my brother was supporting Denmark because of the disgusting behaviour of some of the English fans

That's terrible! Especially that it involves a family with a child. Why would anyone do that?

My husband was driving via Lordship Lane that night and there was a big group of fans on the roundabout and running around stopping the traffic. I can understand the disturbance to the traffic, but never any kind of violence. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Some can't take their drink very well - Rye Lane was just singing its coming home and a lot of cars beeping - didn't see any trouble.

Sadly there were assaults in the stadium and on the way home for quite a few Denmark fans. I hope security will be better for the final, given some of the idiots who support England.

Hope they start a fundraiser in the same way as for the little German girl, she's donating it to Unicef. Kids acting better than adults..

No excuse. In vino veritas. Drink brings out the truths of the person. They?re bigoted racists.

I hope the family are all okay and what a terrible thing to have happened.

😱 "Boris made me drink and act like a total twonk" claimed a football fan.

That's a bit of a random association edcam especially as football thugs have been around almost as long as football has been played, so I suspect it was spured on by drink and a lack of emotional intelligence!

Nothing to do with atmosphere as far as I can see. Just a fundamental lack of respect for others and no self-control. What a horrible situation for that family.

    • I don't know if this is the right section to put this, but if you see anybody sleeping rough in this freezing cold, you can alert an organisation who will help via this link https://thestreetlink.org.uk/ Shelters have been set up in London for them. This is from an email I got today: London has been facing dangerously cold temperatures. For those sleeping rough, this weather can be life-threatening. London’s Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated throughout this week to ensure warm, safe emergency accommodation has been available for those who need it. StreetLink connects people sleeping rough with local outreach teams who assess their needs and offer support services. By making a report, you could save someone’s life.

    • I'm going to add a fourth recommend for Rob Mills. A while back he did my boiler check and was so much more thorough than the previous boiler engineers I'd used, also taking the time to explain everything he was doing and why, which was extremely reassuring. Then this last weekend, when it was freezing cold,  my boiler stopped working early on Saturday morning and was throwing out error messages that I couldn't resolve. He walked me through various steps to try via text message and resolved the issue for me with no charge. I was incredibly grateful and honestly, highly recommend him.
