Sewage smell?

Is it just my house or is there a strange sewage type of smell occurring around the North Cross Road area?

This last two nights I am awoken by the horrible smell but I can't locate it .

Well. Not sure about North Cross Road, but walked back from Peckham Rye Station to Peckham Common and was a funny sort of rotting smell in the air. Never noticed it before. Thought I had something on my shoe lol but wasn't....

Well that is reassuring that there is something in the air as I was starting to worry I had a rat or something !

Yesterday there was a drain survey company looking into the drains on at least Ashbourne Grove and Oxonian Steet. They asked me about manhole cover locations as I walked past. Suspect they have something to do with it ... Probably investigating rather than the cause.

I noticed it yesterday in Kelvington Rd, and down in Peckham.

Definitely a stench in the air when I ventured outside today off North Cross Road.

The lack of (very recent) rain may have left the sewers less flushed through than normal - and they may, indeed, be a blockage. I have, over the years, often noticed slight sewage smells along roads, particularly if it has been dry and the air is relatively still.

And I noticed it whilst in Blackfriars area!

Also last night at London Bridge and New Cross. I kept looking at my shoes thinking it must be me and I'd trodden in something!

From the number of topics on this issue over recent months, I am guessing the dog p00 epidemic has finally reached epic proportions!

Time to get the real culprits to sort this out!
