I went a few years ago when there were only about 10,000 people attending. it was a great little festival with loads of families. There was only one stage and people were sat down all day listening to the bands so it was really chilled out. I gather it has got quite a bit bigger...

It might be worth staying in a hotel, there are quite a few on the island, the local buses run regularly a short walk from the venue.

Hope you have fun.

I don't intend to be heading into the mosh pitt with him so while I am going to get some protection for his ears anyway he won't be anywhere near the speakers. Can't say I have ever noticed that on TV or while at festivals but there you go...

citizenEd thanks for the tip, I was thinking vodka Jellies actually?

    • It should be easy enough to point out to anyone even thinking of voting reform that should they take power they will have no impact. And will make things worse.  And if people think politicians break promises now and reform are a breath of fresh air then they ain’t seen nothing yet  but they won’t really care about immigration if reform do win  uk used to be about law and order and now we have dim talking heads everywhere unchallenged going “leave the ECHR, stuff the judges, just do it!!”   like life is that simple sweeties
