Don't tidy mlteenie. Lots of procrastinating tools at hand.

You probably have a large pile of magazines that need throwing out. This of course cannot be done until you have reread them. Fix yourself a large mug of coffee and settle down.

When I first read mlteenie's post I imagined she was referring to the forum needing a tidy - I imagined mlteenie neatly posting on long meandering threads, offering a concise summary, ending feuds, and gently offering a conclusion.

I now wonder if I have reache stage six of forumitis where I actually have no concept of life beyond the forum...help!

Well, I'm not alone now!

Macro, our house IS one of those sterile jobs, despite the efforts of the children.

BB - sadly I am messy, grumpy and insensitive although I seem to have plateaued at Forumitis L2. I did fancy having a go at the Forum, tho'.

PG - can't chuck out my mags - they are 'reference'. Of course, the goss mags can go right now, although he other half won't agree.

mlteenie - get off yer arse and tidy your gaff, sort through the piles of junk, dump the broken nik-naks, run the hoover round, blast through the place with a duster, scrub the kitchen floor then tackle the ironig. Don't worry, though - if your place is anything like ours, even after that, it will still be untidy.

If you have the urge to tidy, but can't bear the thought of throwing out your own stuff, come round here! I spend the whole of last Saturday tidying and throwing, and there's 10x that still left to do!

Seriously, if anyone knows someone who can help with this sort of thing, for cash, let me know.

I suspect that mlteenie was referring to the virtual world not reality.

I myself am fabulously tidy (OCD) but utterly slovenly when it comes to actual cleaning. That's why I've now got a cleaner even though I can't really afford it.

I agree with Macro (eek, must be getting old), a bit of dirt is good for the little blighters. Prevalence of allergies poss to do with over sterilisation.

Lousiana - there are actual people who will take your cash for coming round and helping you clear out the clutter in your house and mind.

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
