I would highly recommend Leon - always reliable and delivers honest, top advice and service. He has helped us fix some downlights that have stopped working due to a fault with one of the wires. Few of my neighbours on my street have worked with Leon as well and continue to use his services.

Leon of Electrical Initiative Ltd came today and did several electrical jobs for me - he's very quick, efficient, helpful and approachable in resolving lights that weren't working and fitting a door light sensor, as well as suggesting solutions to issues. Very reasonable pricing and quick in responding via email. I would absolutely use him again for any electrical work. Call 07707 925039.

I've used Leon for the past couple of years.  He's lovely,  quick to respond,  great at updates,  and always finds a reasonable and cost effective solution.

Due to availability I recently contacted another electrician recommended on this forum.  He tried to charge a very high call out fee for a non- urgent job and recommended an expensive, time consuming solution which required new materials.  I decided to wait for Leon. He came round,  changed a wire,  and had it fixed (not replaced) within minutes.

Leon is my go to guy for all electrical work. Honest, reliable, professional and well priced- what more could you ask for?

Many thanks to the East Dulwich forum for the recommendations for Leon. Agree with everything already said. He arrived on the day of phoning and completed the job at an extremely reasonable price. He took his time making sure he had the best solution for a cabling problem. Friendly, polite, calm and knowledgeable

I will be using Leon again for some other electrical issues I need sorted.

Used Leon for the first time today as our usual electrician was out of London. neighbour gave us his details as we lost all power in the lower part of our house. Fortunately we had a separate circuit for the first floor so could boil up a kettle. Leon when rang advised he could come this afternoon, turned up and checked every thing and got power back on and to call him back if we had any more problems. Reasonable rate considering it was an emergency call out. Nice chap, very helpful, would recommend.

Leon from Electrical Initiative Ltd did a fantastic job replacing our bathroom fan and light today. He is super responsive and easy to communicate with. He is professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Leon took the time to explain what needed doing, worked efficiently, and left everything neat and tidy. It’s rare to find someone so committed to quality work and customer satisfaction – highly recommend Leon for any electrical needs!

Another recommendation for Leon, who fixed a problem with my kitchen lights this week. He's friendly and easy to deal with, provided a fast, efficient service and communicated everything clearly, which I really appreciated.

Another recommendation for Leon.  He responded quickly to my phone call and came round this evening to fix some broken LED lights in my house.  He is very knowledgeable and had lots of good advice about other electrical work I need doing so will be using him again soon.  He is friendly and punctual and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Very happy to recommend Leon from Electrical Initiative. Responsive, punctual, pleasant, polite and efficient. He restored the broken lighting in our bathroom and gave us helpful advice. What’s more, he charged us a very reasonable rate. Excellent service. Thank you.

Leon recently fitted spotlights in our living room and bedroom, both rooms look great. So happy with them! He worked super quickly, and neatly - and he was great with his recommendations and answering our questions. Would definitely recommend!!

I can highly recommend Leon from Electrical Initiative Ltd.

High quality work at a very good price, and great communication.

Leon’s number is 07707 925 039

Best regards

Another joining the Leon fan club.

Fast response, even though it was a small job, very reasonably priced. Great communication.

Professional, helpful (explained how the fitting comes apart to change the bulb, told me which professional body to ring to check if info being fed me by friends was accurate ), tidy and easy to talk to. Maybe it's my ageing brain but I find some tradespeople talk too fast, talk too much and blind me with detail.

    • Per Cllr McAsh, as quoted above: “We are currently updating our Enforcement Policy and changes will allow for the issuing of civil penalties ranging from £175 to £300 for visible smoke emissions, replacing the previous reliance on criminal prosecution. " Is anyone au fait with the Clean Air Act 1993, and  particularly with the state of 'Smoke Control' law and practice generally?  I've just been looking  through some of it for the first time and, afaics, the civil penalties mentioned  were introduced into the Clean Air Act, at Schedule 1A, in May 2022.  So it seems that, in this particular,  it's a matter of the enforcement policy trailing well behind the legislation.  I'm not criticising that at all, but am curious.
    • Here's the part of march46's linked-to Southwark News article pertaining to Southwark Council. "Southwark Council were also contacted for a response. "Councillor James McAsh, Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets & Waste said: “One of Southwark’s key priorities is to create a healthy environment for our residents. “To achieve this we closely monitor legislation and measures that influence air pollution – our entire borough apart from inland waterways is designated as a Smoke Control Area, and we also offer substantial provision for electric vehicles to promote alternative fuel travel options and our Streets for People strategy. “We as a council support the work of Mums for Lungs and recognise the health and environmental impacts of domestic solid fuel burning, particularly from wood-burning appliances. “We are currently updating our Enforcement Policy and changes will allow for the issuing of civil penalties ranging from £175 to £300 for visible smoke emissions, replacing the previous reliance on criminal prosecution.  “This work is being undertaken in collaboration with other London boroughs as part of the pan-London Wood Burning Project, which aims to harmonise enforcement approaches and share best practice across the capital.” ETA: And here's a post I made a few years ago, with tangential relevance.  https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/278140-early-morning-drone-flying/?do=findComment&comment=1493274
    • The solicitor is also the Executor. Big mistake, but my Aunt was very old, and this was the Covid years and shortly after so impossible to intervene and get a couple of close relatives to do this.  She had no children so this is the nephews and nieces. He is a single practitioner, and most at his age would have long since retired - there is a question over his competence Two letters have already gone essentially complaining - batted off and 'amusingly' one put the blame on us. There are five on our side, all speaking to each other, and ideally would work as a single point of contact.  But he has said that this is not allowed - we've all given approval to act on each others behalf. There are five on her late husband's side, who have not engaged with us despite the suggestion to work as a team, There is one other, who get's the lion's share, the typicical 'friend', but we are long since challenging the will. I would like to put another complaint together that he has not used modern collective communication (I expect that he is incapable) which had seriously delayed the execution of the will.   I know many in their 80s very adept with smart phones so that is not an ageist comment. The house has deteriorated very badly, with cold, damp and a serious leak.  PM me if you want to see the dreadful condition that it is now in. I would also question why if the five of us are happy to work together why all of us need to confirm in writing.             The house was lived in until Feb 23, and has been allowed to get like this.
