seanmlow
Is it me, or is LL getting worse? The road rage that I see from my office is quite scary to be honest.I am very shocked that there has not been more accidents here to be honest- it is carnage!More traffic calming measures perhaps? kford
Traffic calming has the opposite effect. It's probably because of the hold-ups caused by the roadworks, a kind of 'traffic calming' device, if you like. Brendan
Yep. The road works going on at the moment are annoying people somewhat methinks. It took the bus 40 minutes to get from the Plough to Denmark Hill Station this morning. trinity
But the good news is that it is currently walk to school week for local schools. So there should be a lot less traffic on the roads at school run times. SeanMacGabhann
I thought it was a joke because it started so soon after the other "have drivers gone mad" thread in the LoungeI'm still not sure how the 2 threads differ really Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3172-angry-drivers-on-lordship-lane/#findComment-98822 Share on other sites
*Bob*
Let's not get this out of perspective. All over South London, ever since the second horse and cart arrived on the road and cut the first one up, people have been getting out of their vehicles and calling each other c*nts. C*nts - the lot of 'em.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3172-angry-drivers-on-lordship-lane/#findComment-98823 Share on other sites
KalamityKel
Traffic today was particularly heavy in all surrounding areas but mainly due to the large convoys joining the fuel protesting. I think a lot of people got confused with all the tooting and got themselves annoyed too... maybe just a bad day to mention angry drivers...?*edited coz my use of past and present tense is rather appalling* Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3172-angry-drivers-on-lordship-lane/#findComment-98825 Share on other sites
jimbo1964
Some people's behaviour when driving is appalling, the same idiots wouldn't behave like this outside of their tin boxes. I'm sure i t's all to do with low self esteem and stunted emotional growth. Seeing a driver insult another driver is not an excuse to bring in traffic calming measures. Anyway isn't the digging up of Lordship Lane for the next 3 months going to calm down traffic enough? SeanMacGabhann
oh and the other reason I mentioned the joke word was because I was accused of not seeing the humour in another thread Sean#2 startedAs for why drivers generally (be it in Peckham or ED!!) appear to be misbehaving - maybe they are panic-buying petrol after the recent industrial-action? citizenED
I started a thread about how much I liked driving in London. Drivers, on the whole, are a courteous bunch. I give way to someone, they inevitably raise a hand in thanks. When they do not I get momentarily annoyed. That show how rare it is.
