no, I saw that on the way to work, tried to take a pic but my phone was playing up and I had to dash off

a similar thing happened to one of the trees on the pedestrianised area near Herne Hill... though I suspect that might have been from a truck reversing when delivering goods to the local shops. That or they removed it because it was in an awkward place for cyclists... although it didn't look like a very 'clean' job!

I did wonder about the tree on Worlingham... surely it wasn't *that* windy last night?!

Are there beavers in ED ? Interesting question ? A beaver works to remove lumber to build, that tree is still there. They also tend to dam - maybe they would drag it up to the Japanese garden in Dulwich Park.

Did anyone notice the very high winds last night. (All tongue in cheek).

To the Council's credit.

I reported the tree via their Web Site sometime just after 07.30 & it was cut up, chipped & gone by 10.30

Now my report may not have been the first .... but even if it was reported earlier, say 06.00 .... i think that's a decent response time.

Don't suppose Southwark is awash with idle Lumberjacks is it .....

The Summer holidays are finishing, the kids are finally going back to school and it’s time to prioritise your health and fitness again.   We run 2x Mums functional strength training classes at the Dulwich Sports Club on Burbage Road.   9.15am-10am Tuesdays and Thursdays, right after school drop off- with private parking onsite.   The class is usually outside (looking across the beautiful grounds), but inside if it’s tipping it down.    It’s a super nice, inclusive bunch of women that would love to welcome you down and help you become the strongest version of yourself this quarter.   You can take a peak at the class below: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1jS-oQoUXo/?igsh=MWtzcmgwZm84ZmkxNQ== or find out more about us here www.extramileathletes.co.uk    Just pop me a message if you’d like more info - 07871277913.   James

    • I think that charity shops are - in general - no longer the place for bargains and affordable items, as they used to be.  It's a little ridiculous that you can spend the same for a second hand item as you can for new. We donate to two particular ones that are not overpriced, because we want our donations to go to people that need them, and are affordable.
    • Try Bunhead Bakery in Herne Hill.  I’ve seen items with whipped cream on them. They have an Instagram account which also displays photos of cream topped goods.
