steve and nikki from back to wood are brilliant - they have done the majority of the floors in our one-bed flat and are returning in a few months to tackle the stairs. they are both charming and their work is excellent. nikki's attention to detail is perfect and they are really conscious of their surroundings, always tidying up after themselves. they advised us on different colours and styles and were really patient when i asked them to come back and replace a tiny bit of wood that was bothering me! thank you steve and nikki; i wouldn't trust anyone else with our floors!

I have recently used Steve and his Nikki to totally refurbish our wood floor boards that were in a desperate state after the last owners of our house neglected them over many years. He turned them around so brilliantly and so quickly. They really do look like new floorboards!

He is brilliantly priced and the work done was superb. Not only that but they were a pleasure to have in the house.

I really can't recommend him enough.

    • Hi, I accidentally drove off and left a red travel longchamp bag with various clothes / makeup in on Dovercourt Road earlier today... if anyone managed to pick it up please do let me know!  Nothing valuable is in it, just clothes and make-up that I'd love to get back if I can!

    • Looking at the areas which will be receiving funds, there seems to be a couple of pretty fundamental flaws with the scheme. In many of these areas, spend isn't migrating from high streets to online, there simply isn't any disposable income to migrate. No amount of tarting a place up is going to change the fact that these places are the poorest and most deprived in country - people simply have nothing to spend. Secondly, a lot of these areas no longer have an extant retail infrastructure to improve upon - it went donkey's years ago, along with the pubs. My childhood high street is getting a grant. Maybe they'll liven up Market Street by celebrating our notable locals - they could commission a Ricky Hatton mural, a statue of The Moors Murderers or a 'Walk of Shame' pavement for Harold Shipman's victims (it's quite a long street). But, whatever it is, I doubt it's going to show a decent return when the only businesses still trading are 'Bargain Booze' outlets, Bangladeshi takeaways, bookies and barbers.
