EGL
We use mosi-guard and find it really effective. Not sure where you can buy it, other than Amazon and other online shops. It's good and it's safe even for young babies. ludoscotts
You can buy family mosi guard from large boots or when mine were that little we bought bands that you either slipped over ankle(so they can't put in mouth) or onto buggy/cot near them and that did the trick. They were from mothercare. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/33383-help-again-moquito-repellant-for-1-yr-old/#findComment-655211 Share on other sites
Carbonara
I bought Mosi-Guard in the chemisty-natural foods shop on Lordship Lane on the Left as you walk from the G Green end. The Roll-On version is very easy to apply on babies and toddlers. It is v effective and all natural ingredients. sunbob
A few years ago we used Jungle Formula sensitive for our 1 year old. In a very humid, prickly-heat inducing atmosphere where I got eaten alive by mosies she got no bites and had no reaction to the cream. BB100
It is difficult to protect young children as Deet, the product that is in most mozzie sprays, is really not suitable for delicate skin. Any products for children have highly diluted deet which makes them less effective. When i go abroad I take other precautions such as spraying the room regularly with mozzie killer before I go out (to avoid chocking on the fumes) and leaving the toilet light on at night to attract them away from the bedrooms. Also book air conditioning. I used to be bitten alive years ago but these precautions mean I don't even bother with the sprays much anymore. Trish
I always use Avon Skin So Soft - its not marketed as an insect repellent but having worked with film crews extensively all over the world they let me in on the secret that they all use this stuff when they're out in jungle locations etc.! It does leave your skin beautifully soft, smells of citronella and most importantly keeps mosquitos away....and I get eaten alive even though my partner who won't have a single bite on him. And no, I'm not an Avon Lady!!!
