Amelie
I have a menu from Poppadom in Camberwell which was put through my letterbox yesterday. It looks good and more interesting than the usual. Has anyone on the EDF been to Poppadom and is it any good? I usually order from The Indian Dining Club, who started off brilliantly, but have been either a bit blah or overspiced recently, so an alternative would be good. Banksy
Hi Amelie,Check out Spice Republic (top end of Lordship Lane by the Harvester). Takeaways have been consistently fantastic for about 6 months (and has loads of Quorn main dishes for the veggies). You can always tell when a restaurant/takeaway changes chefs so probably only a matter of time before this one goes bland as well so get in quick!:-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3494-poppadom/#findComment-108944 Share on other sites

Pickle
We love Spice Republic too. Food is always great, and they're more than willing to cater for your taste - it's never a hassle for them to make something to order. Al&Em
Spice Republic is definitely consistently good - recently discovered Omrith, which is possibly the best though...! Amelie
I tried Omrith as well and was not really that impressed. Chandni in West Dulwich is good, I will try Spice Republic as technically it is my 'local'. neecheecat
I've ordered from Poppadom before and it wasn't very good, the food came all mixed together in a polystyrene box like you'd get from a kebab shop. Loz
Check out Spice Republic (top end of Lordship Lane by the Harvester). I suppose it's all a matter of perspective, but I always think of that end as being at the bottom of Lordship Lane. Gerrard
Following comments found on the forum, we tried Ganapati in Peckham Rye last Friday. The food was outstanding and service was spot on. Highly recommended now to all our friends, and thanks very much to the forum once again!
