Legia appeal rejected. Sad for them I know but good for Celtic.

Legia co-owner Boguslaw Lesnorski confirmed that the club will now take their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, tweeting: "Negative decision, it's hard even to comment, we are using the CAS (plan to tomorrow)".

Club chairman Dariusz Mioduski tweeted: "Unfortunately for now football is not winning? We are going to CAS." He later confirmed that the club will be looking to follow a fast-track process to get a decision before Celtic play Maribor on August 19.

Pre-Season Prediction time, I'll be the first to stick my head above the parapet.

It should be an even tighter PL than last season, but on current squads* I'll go for Chelsea to pip City, with Arsenal and Utd not far behind battling for 3rd and 4th. Liverpool to slip down to 5th, with Everton and Spurs contesting for 6th.

Stoke to be the surprise team, getting a comfortable top 10 finish.

Burnley, Leicester and WBA to be relegated.

*Predictions can be updated after transfer deadline day...

If Arsenal buy decent defenders:

1. Chelsea

2. City

3. Man Utd

4. Arsenal

5. Liverpool

6. Tottenham

If Arsenal don't buy decent defenders

1. Chelsea

2. City

3. United

4. Liverpool

6. Tottenham

I'll go with Chelsea *spits* to pip City. (but hope I'm wrong)

Arsenal, Liverpool, United, I really don't know. Liverpool are likely to look a very different team to last season, but I am hoping not having Suarez can work in a positive way, making them work better as an overall unit, hopefully defence will be a lot better...

I'm glad Rooney has been given the United captaincy as I found last year that I didn't loathe them so much without SAF, and I even felt a bit sorry for them at times, looking like kids who'd lost their daddy in a crowded shopping centre. But with Rooney wearing the armband I'm sure I'll be able to hate them plenty once more.

Paul Scholes is doing his best to lose any friends he still has at United, and has tipped them to fail.

The more the merrier

Pullis - I've a mate whose a diehard Palace fan and writes/edits one of their fanzines. he's done a piece which basically says that Pullis is acting entirely out of self interest as he's limited resources at Palace, doesn't want to struggle and will walk into and 'keep us up' job on far better terms pretty early this season. He's every sympathy with the Board and not much with Pullis. I buy it. The media/forum frenzy is all crazy owners etc etc

So for nearly ten years arsenal are paupers and scrape into champions league

And now they have gone and bought proper players and spent proper money, many are saying they won't finish top 4

Make you wonder why we spent the money

One of city or Chelsea will flail this season is my prediction

As for pulis. He doesn't come cheap. And no love lost with arsenal fans. And it may be all about him. Palace have someone better lined up?

    • If you're talking about who I think you are, I find them more exuberant than rude and usually smiling and polite. But then, I'm usually smiling and polite to them. Can you not wedge open your gate when you're expecting them?
    • It worked. Corbyn did similar although not to the same degree. Momentum had a purge too when Corbyn got in. All his political life he opposed the EU but when it came to the crunch he publicly backed them during the referendum. I believe that was to appease the middle classes that he was appealing to. He messed up big time when wooing the middle classes at Glastonbury whilst ignoring his core working class voters up north. They also happened to be leave voters. He got starstruck and forgot about his politics. Corbynmania was thing, a movement but it was also the making of his downfall. For the many and not the few came back and slapped him right in the face.
    • Nothing to do with the tories overspending whatsoever eh! Blame the last 10/11 years of blatant mismanagement, incompetence and willful deceit on the poor bastards that were left with the fall out of a complete car crash tory government.   One PM after another falling on their sword. Open corruption and piss taking throughout covid and a legacy of huge debt and destruction yet in your view it will be labour's 4 years in power that bankrupts us in 2029.  Another one that must think people are blind and stupid.  Rejoice rejoice. It's a pity he and his fellow clowns were completely annihilated at the ballot box. I mean they were doing so well after all 🙃🙃
    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
