Recommendations for good African restaurants in the area?

Hello. I'm wondering if people have recommendations for good African restaurants in East Dulwich and the surrounding areas (such as Peckham)?

I'm sure there must be many. Any tips would be appreciated. 

 

We live in East Dulwich and are keen to find a good one.

Im sure there are some great places on/off rye lane but have spotted some very nice places actually on the old Kent Road (near B&Q)

If you like Ethiopean cuisine there's a place called Zeret just off Camberwell New Road. Proper yummy x

It's a large continent with very different food, what does OP want?  West African, North etc etc.

Any of them! Is the cuisine very different between countries? I don't know enough about African food.

There’s the yellow shop-fronted one, opposite Kahn’s. Some quite spicey stuff in there.

Also there’s Lolak on Choumert Rd.

Both are canteen-type restaurants 🤙

Zeret is amazing, run by wonderful people make sure you have the coffee ceremony at the end as well

This place is  amazing!

Kudu and Kudu Grill are both good, they're on the pricier side though.
