A window got smashed on a car on my road (Tell Grove) last night, and it looks like whoever did it keyed about three cars before getting there (though missing out a Porsche), and then i saw another with the window smashed down Melbourne Grove on the way to the station... epidemic or a drunk with a grudge??!

On the topic of spate of criminal activity - mates house got burgled this week, in the evening while they were out....sutle approach of lobbing a brick though double glazing. Police saying there are a lot happening in ED at the moment -SO LOCK UP AND HIDE VALUABLES OUT OF SIGHT. Good news blod samples and fingerprints were taken....so hopefully they will catch the thieving piece of $?%?$%.

Wasn't there apost a few weeks back about some kids who'd been on a rampage. They got caught and it all stopped?

Or was that in a london freebie?

Can't remember now.

Go for it Brendan, but don't hurt them or you'll end up in the nick, just scare the bejeezus out of them.

On Court Lane last June several cars (mostly 4x4's) had the windows smashed and then some again on Croxted Rd. Even a bus was attacked. Have no idea if it was linked or if the perpetrators were ever caught.

Saw Stumpys posts this am so: For the record I'm totally against vandalism of any sort regardless of the type of property or character of the owner, with the exception of property belonging to vandals.

Maybe it was the mayor's paper - according to that reputable publication crime in London rarely occurs.

    • A quick assessment on having a barter scheme amongst the community. An exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    I wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum? Or perhaps  an additional aspect of the forum itself if it was easy to include? I don’t have IT knowledge to set this up unfortunate, but I do have skills that I could offer. From past experience, it would probably work best as a direct exchange rather than coupon credit.    I may be flaunting the rules by posting on this twice, admin please feel free to delete one if this is the case.

Thank you for stepping up.   whilst I’m here, I was thinking it would be a good idea to have a barter scheme amongst the community. an exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum?
