The particulars are inaccurate - they quote North Dulwich as being the nearest station at a mile away (ED is around 0.5), and it's about 5.5 miles to Charing Cross, centre of London; not 7

I read that one of the chain hotels had confirmed it was looking at a specific plot ED, can't for the life of me remember which but I recall thinking the police station would be the only plot of land big enough.

To be pedantic, Charing Cross is the point from which all distances to/from Central London are made, and the distance from ED Police Station is 5.1 miles

That's true. Distances to Central London are always referenced to Charing Cross. I wonder why?
