I've not heard of this lady before, but she is an East Dulwich incomer (Lounged)

Recommended Posts

In my humble opinion this sort of activity is why people's kids can't afford to buy into the areas they grew up in.

She writes in answer to the question, "What is your financial priority?" "Paying off our mortgages and making sure that we have a roof over our heads." How many heads does she have? She says she thinks inheritance tax is "absolutely disgusting". Well I think owning more homes than you can live in is, too.

Having said that, she's a great actress and I LOVE Gavin and Stacey!

In keeping with the recent 'moving out of east dulwich' thread, another fine example of the current trend of newspaper 'articles' wherein the interviewee is required to surrender pointless personal information ("my husband and I have joint bank accounts. Every month, he takes a chunk from the current account and places it into our savings") in return for a bit of free publicity.

Whats that Nick Davies on about - and why is he quoted anyway ?

?Our message is buy now before prices go up again. Property is always the best investment ? you can?t go wrong with it.?

Snorky - what makes her greedy? If she is fortunate enough to be able to invest some of her money in property then good for her. As an actress, her earning potential is likely to come in fits and spurts over time. Gavin & Stacey has been a big hit but who is to say that she will continue with this recent success? This may be the only time she is able to put something away for her future.

I find the second part of your post to be rather ignorant, which is in complete contrast to your first point about a ski property at 800m elevation.

And shes fit to boot. Although Gavin and Stacey is very funny I always saved my real gut aching laughter for 'Pulling' which was on directly afterwards...excellent writing and female characters that you can believe in for the first time in a long time.

Your first statement is incorrect. The ski runs in Bansko, Bulgaria start at 2600m and your second statement is childish.

I think she is fantastic! It is great that someone as cool and sexy as her is being so positive about East Dulwich! You go girl!!!!!!

Yeah, girlfriend!!!!! High four!!!! I'm from Springfield!!!

Edited because my three fingers caused me to spell Springfield with a 'd'.

Stupig fingers.

Edited for a secong time when, I realised that there there is a 'd' at the end of Sprindfielg and that the above may not make complete sense, unless you have as much to drink this evenind as I have, and even then...

I think she is such a wonderful actress. I saw her in the hollywood movie From Hell recently with Johnny Depp. She was amazing in it! I have also seen her in the movies Love Actually and Very Annie Mary she is brilliant and always comes across as a really nice down to earth person in tv interviews! Sounds like she is enjoying great success and well deserves it!

Re Bansko: I would advise a bit of googling on your point .

    • Let’s not all get scared of the foxes now. Most likely explanation is protecting its den or association with food. We have foxes, and cats and they are no bother to each other. The fox will leave when the cats are out.
    • I remember seeing something a few years ago on TV about a fox that was actually biting through people's shopping / takeaway food bags.  It was situated in an alleyway.  Not in London.  Very interesting in how the  urban foxes brain development has  been affected by their surroundings.   Not an exact quote from Darwin.  It's the adaptable that survive / not the strongest or the most intelligent.   I would be worried if a fox came close me.   Because they might be after my fur babies and they carry a lot of nasties.   Although they look beautiful from a distance or on a 🎄 card.
    • Driving down Lordship lane around 2.45pm today saw a v sick looking fox walking in and out of the crowd.
    • I know I'm a bit premature but don't want to forget through too much Chrisntas cheer! Southwark Council Christmas trees recycling arrangements 2025 - bit worrying for the future that they're emphasising the free bit. "We’ll collect and recycle your real Christmas tree for free!  Trees should not be taller than 5ft. You should chop any taller trees into smaller pieces. Remove all decorations and the pot or stand and recycle it by: putting your tree with your garden waste containers on collection day requesting a free collection if you do not have a garden waste collection  taking it to our Reuse and Recycling Centre [43 Devon Street, SE15 1AL open 08:30-16:30 Mon-Sun] If you live in a flat you must leave the tree: outside on the kerb visible for the collection crew not in a bin store" I'll add the link to the collection booking service when it opens on 22 December.
