Hi does anyone know what is going on around East Dulwich for NYE?

I would also like to find out what the pubs of East Dulwich are doing for NYE. Surely there must be something going on?? Can anyone help?

That section's a bit scare on postings at the moment so we might close it, but we don't want to because a fair few people look at it so any help is greatly appreciated

I've been to the NYE do at the EDT in the past and thought it was a good laugh...

I've been to the NYE at the EDT in the past and it was pisspoor. Offered DJs on two floors but only produced one who was way too hardcore for my liking. Food was pitiful and scarce and service at the bar was slow. It was probably worst new year I've known. Until we got back to my place where the party started of course!

Must have gone downhill since my last visit (was 2 years ago). Then they had a good DJ and laid on stacks of really nice grub upstairs. This was before the inside was done up and I know it has a new manager now...

The pubs all seem to be charging quite a lot for entry on NYE, i was looking into the Palmeston but they want ?50 per person for a set menu which doesnt look great, you also need tickets for the Herne i think.

The Kings Club at Kings College Hospital is charging ?30 a head for NYE. Includes drinks, buffet and champange to see the NY in.....not a bad deal in comparison to The Palmerston hmm!

Why don't we all just meet up at the Dawson's Heights grass area facing the fireworks and the whole view of London, and bring food and mulled wine and stuff to share?

If you're local to Dawson's Heights, it's good fun; lots of sparklers, families with kids, fantastic views including fireworks, no entry fee or 'piss poor food / service' and then home all in time for 'Hootenanny' with no bus ride! All for the cost of a bottle of Cava....

tbh absolutely every NYE has been a massive anticlimax since the old days of The Fox in Willian.

I've been at home with good friends for 7 years on the trot now. better booze, no queuing four deep at the bar, sciatica, I'm losing my memory, my memory isn't as good as it used to be...slippers.....death.......

We went to the 70's fancy dress night at the house of Tippler last NYE and it was great fun, didn't leave til the sun was coming up, they had a good band on. I understand something similar is planned this NYE but not sure if there's a theme. We pretty much went though the entire cocktail menu. I'm going with my girlfriend and a couple of friends again this year.

No wonder NYE was rubbish if you were going to the Fox in Willian. You should have gone to the three horseshoes. Mind you, if you were under 50 you might not have got in.
