Those faceless Tristrams at the BBC have cancelled the only watchable thing on BBC1.

In retaliation I'm cancelling paying their licence fee

It was probably the same panel of box ticking twunts who sacked Danny Baker and put dog woman on in his place

More cheap cooking shows for mouth breathers to follow

This is really good news and shows the shift away from terrestrial production, as internet broadcasting becomes the norm. The poor ratings were imo a combination of the wrong scheduling time and also the flaws in which ratings are collated. Whilst many of us now use any number of platforms to watch programmes as catch up, ratings are still collected from a small selected pool of people provided with equipment to record what they watch, as it is broadcast. It is such an outdated mode of measuring viewing figures.

Also, add to that, that no licence is needed if you only watch catch up services and not live broadcasts. It's a pretty good incentive for many people to not bother with live television at all. The BBC needs to change it's model, and fast - or it will get left behind.

    • These have reduced over the years, are "perfect" lives Round Robins being replaced by "perfect" lives Instagram posts where we see all year round how people portray their perfect lives ?    The point of this thread is that for the last few years, due to issues at the mail offices, we had delays to post over Christmas. Not really been flagged as an issue this year but I am still betting on the odd card, posted well before Christmas, arriving late January.
