Best route to blackheath on public transport?

If you're interested in times, you'll probably want to check these anyway, so why not go straight to http://tfl.gov.uk journey planner?

Trains run from Denmark Hill or Peckham Rye to Blackheath on the same line. If direct they take about 15 minutes. It all depends what day / time you are travelling though so check the web - as they don't run all days or late into the evening (I don't think they run on a Sunday, for example).

Otherwise, 484 or 185 bus to Lewisham and then its one stop on the train or a bus ride from there?

Or catch a train to London Bridge and back out again.

The last direct train from Blackheath to PR is the 1904 to Victoria, at other times, change at London Bridge.
