Steep garden

I have 2 young children and a garden which resembles a bit of a ski slope. I was thinking of getting this tiered or something to make it more child friendly has anyone had this done? Can you recommend anyone. We would need quite a lot of earth removed, is it best to get a builder in to do this? I was hoping it wasn't going to cost an arm & a leg!! Any advice appreciated.

Decent groundwork can be expensive and you'll be creating lots of drops for the little ones to fall off.

Could I suggest as a first stage you google 'hillside gardening image' which will give you plenty of ideas, and help you tell your prospective designer/builder what you're after.

If you have a sloping garden and can afford it it would be great to incorporate some moving water in it- and/or a zip wire!!

I've learnt never to use a builder for gardens. Always get a gardener or landscape builder otherwise you end up with straight red brick walls and no character. They probably could redestribute the soil as part of the design rather than get rid as that is cistly.
