I have 2 young children and a garden which resembles a bit of a ski slope. I was thinking of getting this tiered or something to make it more child friendly has anyone had this done? Can you recommend anyone. We would need quite a lot of earth removed, is it best to get a builder in to do this? I was hoping it wasn't going to cost an arm & a leg!! Any advice appreciated.

Hi there

Did you get anywhere with this.

If not, I would be happy to advise.

I'm just completing a 1-year Garden Design diploma at the prestigious design school KLC - based at Chelsea Harbour. (I have had 16 years marketing/design experience before this).

My services include site analysis/survey, taking a brief from you, producing designs in 2d and 3d and producing a comprehensive planting plan. I can also source plants and plant up once the build is complete.

I'd be happy to have an initial no obligation chat with you and show you my portfolio. You would need a landscaper builder to carry out the actual build. I could put this out to tender on your behalf or you can organise this yourself.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
