Ask them to marry you and then selct the cheapest, oldest possible invitations. Make sure your soon to be ex sends out the invitations, including licking the by now toxic glue strips.

Go home to find them brown bread on the rug. 'No comment' every question the scuffers throw at you. Free as a bird and no embarrassing encounters to mar your social life.

To be on the safe side destroy this thread.

And don't worry about the ethics of the thing, if it's good enough for George Costanza...

Sorry to go off topic, but I think there's a few on here who like the series CO. I'm currently watching that series (I'm working backwards through them for variety). The scene where George recieves the news of Susan's death combines callosness and comedy and is a classic that has me watching through the fingers of one hand while biting the knuckle of the other.

Masterful stuff.

I'm with you Raquel, I've assumed from the start that this thread was actually a bit of a joke, because I really don't want to consider the alternative, which is that there are people out there who would have so little respect for someone that they would go on an internet forum for advise on how to dump them.

Seriously if this thread is real, then print it off, go up to him and say "believe me you're better off without me because basically I'm a bit of a heartless c**t", then hand it to him.

Keef, I bit harsh. But straight to the point I would say...

I wouldn't say Seinfeld was pompous and up his own ass but.....put his name in You Tube and join the Millions watching the video where an old USA Chat Show Host gently suggests he was dumped by the Network!...and he does say "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?":))

Has ignoring, moving them out of residence (if they happen to lodge in your humble abode) while theyve popped to the shop, shacking up with someone else, declaring yourself a transgender, taking up the sisterhood devotion or maybe just saying it how it is been mentioned? :))

*waves to SeanMac hoping hes forgiven her grumpiness at the bus stop the other day*

    • Lordship Lane has two dry cleaners, three pizza places and an Italian selling pizza, two burger places, three bakeries, two hardware (ish, I'm thinking AJ Farmer here), God knows how many coffee and charity shops, two Italians, three nail salons, five wine shops... Where was the abject outrage when Dynamic Vines opened up literally next door to Cave de Bruno? But I don't see his customers decamped next door - no, those stalwarts are still out in force every night.  In Roman times all businesses were clustered by product. It's what kept prices down. Same in any market you go to abroad, they're all selling the same things next to each other.  Why is everyone being so hard on this new place? It's called healthy competition - you can't curtail the expansion of your business on the basis you that might hurt someone else's.

    • In restaurant terms I would say a chain manifests when the motivation is no longer “we are a couple/small group who have an idea and love food” who open a restaurant, them another and then a few more BUT THEN PIVOT to “we need capital to rollout out new restaurants so we have leveraged the help of the following investors”  that is the moment it stops being about the chef/food on the plate and becomes about the spreadsheet  so it is POSSIBLE  for a restaurant to have 50 branches and not be a chain - but I can’t think of any  I don’t know chango - by based on the number of outlets they appear to have just crossed/or are about to cross that line
