Poor old SJ, just trying to get people to follow some simple netiquette and gets abuse for his trouble.

Yes, point 7 describes our SJ, but it was hardly years ago there was a post a week ago, and lo and behold your question was answered in the very next post http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1247332,1256220#msg-1256220


If it wasn't for the likes of SJ this place might be more like the nunhead forum, so some respect due.

    • @Rockets be a sweety and stop using the large font, it's annoying and I expect most can comprehend. Still not sure how this festival affects you.  Or is it a case that you just like taking on causes 
    • It is intimidating looking through the book sections now.  I sometimes wonder if they're stocking bookshops' remainders. OTOH, when I put  some books out in a cardboard box for taking, it was  encouraging to see that a fair proportion of those taken were aged hardbacks.

    • For a start you could just try a standard shutdown and let the system try its own tidy-up and  graceful process halting.   Then remove the disk,which can be examined elsewhere.  Alternatively doesn't windows have a task manager that can show you what processes and devices are running, and allow you to shut any down.Ctrl_Alt_Delete?   Or use a command window or ?Explorer to examine any changes in the contents of the external drive.
