Best cafe for a fry up locally?

Especially when you have to slalom around 'Johnnies' A-boards stuck in the middle of the pavement- (this should be in the 'tiny little things that cause you...' thread I know - just so many of the bloody things now... )

Huge portions, lovely staff, nice atmosphere, mahossive rolls!

For me? Bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, bubble, fried slice and freshly squeezed OJ. Tea with 12 sugars for the man.

Thought t-e-d was making one of his legendary jokes and referencing The Shining. Johnnies was good. Bacon and egg doubler fine, egg bit overdone but staff were lovely. Was dining with MrBen and we got to thinking about a scorecard for caffs we visit. Some criteria we were thinking:

Fluorescent Stars

Fluorescent jackets

Puggy

Polystyrene cups for take away tea

Serviette dispenser

Toilet if present...or a walk through the kitchen

A count of the times you are called Darling...

Any more to add to the score card?

yeah sorry, but I did want toknow where it is.

The cafe on Peckham Rye does a very nice fry up. Bacon, Cumberland Sausage, Egg, Beans, Mushrooms and a good Bubble.

Only drawback is that it's usually full of screaming kids and parent's that don't seem to care. (Disclaimer: not all the kids scream and not all the parents are indifferent)

Agree about the cafe in/on the Rye, but the breakfast is good.

For a trad cafe I like The Oak in Honour Oak. It's good, clean and fresh
