Help-Ma-Boab
Thought t-e-d was making one of his legendary jokes and referencing The Shining. Johnnies was good. Bacon and egg doubler fine, egg bit overdone but staff were lovely. Was dining with MrBen and we got to thinking about a scorecard for caffs we visit. Some criteria we were thinking:Fluorescent StarsFluorescent jacketsPuggyPolystyrene cups for take away teaServiette dispenserToilet if present...or a walk through the kitchenA count of the times you are called Darling...Any more to add to the score card?ETA: A faded poster from Talksport Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41916-best-cafe-for-a-fry-up-locally/page/3/#findComment-727645 Share on other sites

titch juicy
The cafe on Peckham Rye does a very nice fry up. Bacon, Cumberland Sausage, Egg, Beans, Mushrooms and a good Bubble.Only drawback is that it's usually full of screaming kids and parent's that don't seem to care. (Disclaimer: not all the kids scream and not all the parents are indifferent) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41916-best-cafe-for-a-fry-up-locally/page/3/#findComment-727805 Share on other sites

Seabag
Agree about the cafe in/on the Rye, but the breakfast is good. For a trad cafe I like The Oak in Honour Oak. It's good, clean and fresh Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41916-best-cafe-for-a-fry-up-locally/page/3/#findComment-728239 Share on other sites
